Avocet Bolaang Mongondow Job Vacancy 2011

The Bakan District contains a prospective, epithermal system located approximately 25 km west of the Company’s North Lanut gold mine on the same CoW. Drilling commenced at Bakan in 2005 and was completed in 2007.

An internal pre-feasibility study completed shortly thereafter showed that the project was viable at a production rate of approximately 50,000 ounces per annum over a 4.5 year mine life and warranted a full feasibility study. Since then, delays to the permitting process have been encountered on account of areas of protected forest buffer zone that overlap one of the two primary deposits.

These permitting delays have meant that the start of construction is now likely to be pushed back to beyond 2010. The environmental impact assessment, known locally as an AMDAL, was approved in July 2007. The technical aspects of the project remain robust and the feasibility study remains close to completion, pending all permitting approvals. Meanwhile, limited cash resources are being spent on the project.

In June 2011, Avocet announced that it had completed the sale of its 80 per cent interest in PT Avocet Bolaang Mongondow, which owns the North Lanut mine and Bakan project in North Sulawesi, Indonesia. PT. CordLife Indonesia, licensed with DEPKES, has been in operation since December 2003, and expanded with a new cord blood processing and storage facility in Jakarta in early 2007. Before 2007, the cord blood units have been couriered to Singapore for processing and storage at the company’s American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) accredited facility.

Families in Indonesia have the option of storing their baby’s precious cord blood unit at the facility in Singapore or Jakarta. PT. CordLife Indonesia’s expansion has also resulted in the recent move of the corporate office to UOB Plaza at Thamrin Nine. Attaining ISO 9001:2008 certification in 2010 marks yet another significant milestone for the local facility, which remains as Indonesia’s FIRST & ONLY cord blood processing and storage facility registered with DEPKES. The company will continue to invest in more resources to educate the market on the importance of cord blood stem cells, and to bring quality cord blood banking to the families in Indonesia.

Operation Officer (Code: OO) Work Location Jakarta

Reports to Operation Manager, the candidate is responsible to:
1. Coordinate and collect maternal blood if required.
2. Monitor the distribution of all umbilical cord blood collection kits.
3. Monitor the administration of the fulfillment team.
4. Handle all traveling tickets and hotel bookings.
5. Ensure on time availability of doctor and nurse payment.
6. Understand of the specific SOPs and be able to carry out diligently.
7. Recognize protocol deviances and dutifully record such incidents when necessary.

General Requirements:
1. Must possess at least D3, fresh graduate is welcomed.
2. Preferably male.
3. Able to work independently and without close supervision.
4. Able to work well as part of a team.
5. Have a positive attitude and initiative.

Quality Assistant Manager / Quality Manager (Code: QAM / QM) Work Location Jakarta

Reports to General Manager,the candidate is responsible to:
• Improve standard operating procedure if needed.
• Handle non conformance / defilation.
• Follow up the internal audit findings and analyze statistically.
• Conduct and improve quality training.

General Requirements:
• Age maximum 30 years old (QAM) and 35 years old (QM).
• Must possess at least Bachelor degree in any discipline.
• Having minimum 3 years working experience in related area, with minimum 2 years in Supervisory Level.
• Having good knowledge of QMS, ISO 9000, Good Distribution Practices and Good Storage Practices.
• Familiar with MS Office application.
• Proficient in English, both oral and writing.
